Ouseph (Joseph) 2nd son of Ittoop from North Parur married Elieswa D/o Ittoop and Annam of Chakkalamattathu Kanichayi family, Ambazhakad (Vynthala). Since Elieswa had no brother her husband Ouseph lived with her at Vynthala and the descendants of their two s-ons Ittoop and Kunjuvareed formed the Ambazhakad branch of Panikulam family, The other two sons became priests. Ouseph had five sons and seven daughters-Katherine (died in infancy), Thresia, Ittoop, Kunjannam (died in infancy), Mariamrna, Louis (died in infancy), Cruz, Rosamma, Kunjuvareed, Kochumariam (died young), Thomas and Kochukunjannam (died in infancy), Ouseph was deeply religious, gentle and kind-hearted, He took an active interest in public affairs especially in the sphere of education and social improvement of his countrymen. He passed away on the 10th July 1906 at the General Hospital, Ernakulam, in his 62 year and was buried at Ambazhakad with great pomp. Elieswa was also deeply religious and kind-hearted. She died on 6th December 1921 in her 72nd year. |
