Loney took his Chemical Engineering degree from Govt. Engineering cllege Trichur in 1970 and joined Grasim Industries Ltd , Aditya Birla group . He worked in various capacities in their Viscose Rayon fibre factory at Nagda, MP nad Harihar, Karnatak and retired in Aug. 2006 from the post of Dy. General Manager ( Production).
He is settled at Kochi .
