Joseph married Achayi, daughter of Sri.C.Anthappai Chirayeth of Trichur on 22-4-1907. In that marriage they have two children, John and Kunjila. Achayi died on 5-7-1919. Joseph married again, Thressya, daughter of Kalliath Poulose Ollur on 5-9-1922. In that marriage they have six children Mary, Rosy, Thressyamma, Paul, Antony and Jose {died in rnfancy). Joseph passed L.M.P. and served as Doctor in the Government Service, at first in the Madras Presidency and later in the former Cochin State. After retirement he settled down at Kattoor. He was engaged in Medical practice and Social Service. He was a founder member of the Edathuruthy St. Vincent De Paul Society, of which he was also a one time president. He was highly respected and loved by all. He died on the Christmas day in 1962 at the age of 74. His wife Thressya died on 13-9-1971. |
